We are looking for a Commercial Lines Associate Account Manager to support our Commercial Lines team and provide responsive service to our clients. This is a strong opportunity for someone with some insurance, customer service, or administrative experience who wants to build a long-term career in commercial insurance.
You will work alongside experienced Account Managers and Producers while learning how commercial insurance accounts are serviced from new business through renewal. Responsibilities will expand as your insurance knowledge, licensing, judgment, and experience grow.

Responsibilities
- Support Account Managers with renewals, marketing submissions, new business, and ongoing account administration.
- Assist with endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, cancellations, billing questions, and other service requests.
- Gather client, exposure, loss history, and underwriting information for new and renewal business.
- Process client and carrier requests accurately and maintain complete, current documentation in the agency management system.
- Prepare client communications, proposals, coverage summaries, schedules, and other insurance documents.
- Communicate with clients, carriers, and internal team members regarding the status of requests and outstanding information.
- Monitor assigned tasks, meet established deadlines, and keep Account Managers informed of progress or concerns.
- Develop working knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, policy terminology, carrier requirements, and agency procedures.
- Participate in training, continuing education, and professional development.
- Support department initiatives, process improvements, and special projects as assigned.

- One or more years of insurance, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
- Commercial insurance or independent insurance agency experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
- Current Property and Casualty insurance license preferred at hire; ability to obtain the required license within the timeframe established by management is required.
- Strong client service, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, and support multiple Account Managers in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, follow-through, and sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn agency management systems, carrier websites, and other technology.
- Applied Epic experience is preferred but not required.
- Initiative, accountability, and a commitment to continued learning and professional development.
This position involves regular contact with clients, carriers, and business partners and requires professional communication, judgment, and conduct. The role also requires the ability to work with changing priorities and unscheduled interruptions, sit for extended periods, and use standard office and computer equipment.
