Building from the ground up, we opened the first women-owned and led veterinary emergency and specialty care practices in Frederick, MD and Richmond, VA in 2023.
We are seeking a full or part time veterinary internist for each of our hospitals in Frederick, MD and Richmond, VA. We are looking for individuals who are interested in collaborating with the entire hospital team and desire to take an active role in shaping the internal medicine department and practice in a sustainable, engaging way.
· We cultivate the departments based on the interest and expertise of the professionals on our team.
· You will see a combination of stable appointments and hospitalized transfers for which your training best equips you to optimize a patient’s outcome. Unique administrative roles that enable you to practice at your highest level
- Scribes document UC/ER exams and facilitate discharging appointments
- Team members trained to perform client communications, review estimates, and grief discussions to promote continuity of care
· We are seeking internists:
- Who support and prioritize patient care, self-care, and community care, as these do not have to be mutually exclusive.
- Are committed to collaboration with the emergency service and other specialty departments.

· Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
· Board-certification or residency-trained in internal medicine
· Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Virginia and/or Maryland
· The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members and pet families
· A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
· Clinical experience in emergency medicine or general practice, or completion of a rotating or specialty internship
· Professional demeanor and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
· Support for new graduates who have commitment to continued professional development and mentorship.
