Project Specific Needs
Business Development & Research
Mapping Global Ecosystems
R&D Spend: Governments
- Mapping Out Global Government spending on R&D – help our program continue to identify emerging technology “hot spots” globally
- Existing & Emerging Government Funded Programs
- A review of overall R&D Spending (private vs. public)
- Categorization of that spending
Lab Space
- Develop a database of wet and dry lab space options with pricing and contact information for key locations around the world for Fellows to access
Venture Studios
- Landscape assessment of venture studios around the word, focusing mostly on hard-tech/deep-tech/climate-tech.
- Where do they exist? What are their specific idea-generation models? Which focus on hard-tech IP first (technology-push) vs. market needs (demand-pull)? What are the economic models? The goal would be to (1) identify those that would be good referral nodes (i.e. which types of venture studios are most likely to create companies relevant for Discovery) and (2) identify gaps in topics & geographies
