Mechanic
Description

Atlas Asphalt is looking to fill a equipment mechanic position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of heavy/dirt equipment
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
  • Perform safety checks on equipment/ heavy equipment.
  • Assist senior mechanics
  • Change brakes and tires
  • Troubleshoot and repair engine and transmission issues
  • Estimate time and material costs on equipment repairs and request new parts
  • Maintain a clean and safe workstation in compliance with company and OSHA standards
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have your own tools
  • Field tech experience
  • Welding experience is a plus
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools is a plus
  • Must be able to work flexible hours/some weekends
  • Obtain a valid driver’s license
  • Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
  • Must pass a drug/alcohol screen
