Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated CDL Driver to join our team. As a CDL Driver you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient transportation of materials and equipment to and from job sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate and maneuver a commercial vehicle.
  • Transport construction materials, equipment, and/or machinery to and from job sites.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and traffic laws.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members regarding delivery schedules, delays, and any issues encountered during transportation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and promptly report any mechanical issues or damages.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assist with general construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, and operating hand and power tools
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Gather tools needed for the day
  • Deliver water to the rollers and plate compactors
  • Sweep and rake 
  • Use shovels, rakes, brooms, and/or other hand tools
  • Direct traffic, as needed
  • Assist operator, as needed
  • Assist with minor equipment maintenance and cleaning of equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
  • Clean driving record with no recent accidents or violations.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a CDL Driver, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
  • Ability to operate and maneuver large commercial vehicles in various weather and road conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions and instructions.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Some travel is required for this position
  • Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screen.
  • Work overtime, nights, and weekends, as needed.
  • Must be able to climb, sit, stand for extended period of times, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Willing to travel/work out of town is required for this position
  • Experience in construction or related industry preferred
