Description

The Head Boys Volleyball Coach-High School is responsible for leading and developing a competitive, character-driven baseball program that reflects the values and mission of Gilbert Christian Schools. This position requires a strong commitment to mentoring student-athletes, fostering their athletic and spiritual growth, and promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. 

Candidate must agree with and support Gilbert Christian’s Statement of Faith. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and lead all aspects of the volleyball program, including practices, matches, and off-season conditioning.
  • Model and instill Christian values in student-athletes, integrating faith into coaching and team activities.
  • Mentor players academically, athletically, and spiritually, supporting their holistic development.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered team environment.
  • Coordinate with school administration, athletic department, and parents.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and athletic regulations.
  • Manage team budget, equipment, and scheduling needs.

Qualifications:

  • Prior coaching experience at the high school level or higher preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A personal commitment to Christian faith and the ability to serve as a spiritual role model.

Requirements

All applicants must have or be able to obtain the following documentation by date of hire:

  • Current AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certificate
  • NFHS Completion certificate for Fundamentals of Coaching & Concussion in Sports
