Position Summary
In this role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative process. You will be effectively involved with maintaining the standard of care for assigned patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will need to apply the knowledge and skills in the nursing process and effectively communicate. You maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, co-workers, and other health team members.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Pre-Op Duties: Patient assessments, surgical education, medication administration, and collaboration with anesthesia and surgical teams.
- PACU Duties: Monitoring post-anesthesia recovery, administering medications, managing pain, and educating patients and families before discharge.
You will be expected to document patient care accurately using the SIS Complete EMR system and participate in quality improvement initiatives as part of our patient-focused, high-performing team.
Licensure, Certifications, and Pre-Hire Requirements
Your employment is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements, including:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Satisfactory background check and reference verification
- Basic computer knowledge
- Completion of all required onboarding documents
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages are preferred.
- Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to provide patient care.
You will also be required to review and comply with all institutional policies, including safety, infection control, patient confidentiality, and clinical protocols.
