Mortgage Loan Originator

Key Responsibilities:

- Meet with prospective clients to assess their financial situation and determine suitable mortgage options

- Explain loan products, terms, and conditions clearly to clients

- Gather and review necessary documentation to process loan applications

- Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other team members to ensure smooth loan approval and closing

- Maintain a pipeline of clients and follow up to ensure timely processing

- Stay informed about current mortgage rates, lending policies, and industry regulations

- Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a mortgage loan originator or in a similar sales role within the mortgage industry

- Strong knowledge of mortgage products, lending procedures, and regulatory requirements

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to analyze financial information and assess creditworthiness

- Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset

- Proficiency in loan origination software and Microsoft Office Suite

- Valid NMLS license or the ability to obtain one as required by state regulations
