POSITION SUMMARY
The Department of Psychological Sciences at Benedictine College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant or associate professor rank, with expertise in neuroscience, biopsychology, and/or behavioral sciences, to begin August 2026. Review of applications begins immediately and continues until the position is filled.
The beautiful campus of Benedictine College is situated in picturesque Atchison, KS on the bluffs above the Missouri River. Atchison is within an hour of major cities such as Kansas City, Saint Joseph, Lawrence and Topeka as well as 35 minutes from the Kansas City International Airport.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Candidates are expected to teach General Psychology, Research & Statistics in Psychology, Research Seminar, Biopsychology and/or Psychology of Learning, and courses aligned with the faculty member’s area of interest. The teaching load is12 credit hours; generally three course preparations per semester. Faculty members also provide academic advising, supervise undergraduate research, and serve on committees. We are particularly interested in candidates who are committed to teaching excellence and engaging undergraduate students in research.

Education
Ph.D. in psychology, with a focus on neuroscience, biopsychology, behavioral sciences,or in a subfield that complements areas of expertise of existing faculty members (ABD with clear plan for completion will be considered)
Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with relevant teaching experience and demonstrated potential to engage students in research.
