The GH Personal Trainer/Fitness Coach is responsible for delivering high-quality personal training and group fitness experiences that align with Gravity Haus’s functional, adventure-forward philosophy. This role requires strong coaching skills, organization, professionalism, and a passion for helping members reach their goals.
You’ll work closely with the club leadership and front desk team to manage schedules, support member engagement, and maintain a welcoming, safe, and well-organized fitness environment.
Compensation Note: Personal training sessions are paid at the established personal training rate of $50-$65/session & group fitness classes are paid at $30-$40/class
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one personal training tailored to individual goals
- Lead engaging and effective group fitness classes for members and guests
- Assess movement patterns (including Functional Movement Screen) and track client progress
- Build and manage a consistent client base, including follow-up and rebooking
- Collaborate with front desk and fitness team to support scheduling and client experience
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness environment
- Manage your personal training schedule in partnership with the Fitness Director
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing program development
- Be flexible and team-oriented, including covering sessions when needed
- Deliver a minimum of 3–5 coaching sessions per week, including mornings and evenings
What We’re Looking For
- Holds a current personal training certification (required).
- CPR/AED and First Aid certified, or able to obtain certification within 60 days of employment.
- Passionate about fitness, wellness, and the outdoor lifestyle
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Committed to delivering an exceptional member and guest experience
- Knowledgeable of current fitness trends and functional training techniques
- Strong communicator who can connect with members and build relationships
- Proactive in managing schedules, clients, and follow-up
- Creative and excited to introduce new class formats or training ideas
- A strong team player who supports the broader fitness and property team
Schedule & Availability
- Must be available for morning and evening sessions.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.
- Comfortable demonstrating exercises and movements throughout the day.
