We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our elementary (3rd-5th) team for the 2026-27 school year. We currently have an upper elementary (3-5) opening, but may be adding to the special education team in middle and early childhood as well. Starting salary for certified educators is $60,000.


This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners with diverse needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.


Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.

- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the unique learning styles and abilities of each student.

- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support.

- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.

- Create a positive, engaging, and safe classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development.

- Maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with district and state regulations.




Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States 
  • Missouri Certification in Special Education
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A desire to teach using project based learning
  • A desire to build relationships with students and team members.
  • A desire to be creative, curious, and teach lessons using project based learning.
