Job Overview


Caldwell Companies is seeking a Houston-based Managing Broker / Sponsoring Broker to lead the Caldwell Brokerage Business Unit with a primary focus in land brokerage. This role is leadership-first (personal production is optional) and is accountable for recruiting and developing land brokers, leading growth initiatives, modernizing digital marketing (primarily LinkedIn), and strengthening sales operations through CRM discipline and AI-enabled workflows.


Responsibilities


• Lead brokerage performance, generate listings, fuel growth, oversee operations, and drive accountability for the business unit. 

• Recruit, onboard, and develop land brokers, with a specific focus on ramping junior brokers into producers. 

• Build a modern, repeatable business development engine for land brokerage (pipeline generation, listings, client reporting).

• Drive digital marketing modernization, with LinkedIn as the primary channel (broker enablement + measurable pipeline impact). 

• Champion practical adoption of AI to improve prospect research, outreach, content creation, and reporting, in partnership with leadership and within appropriate guardrails. 

• Lead CRM adoption and reporting platform (Salesforce currently; migration to Monday underway). 

• Serve as the Sponsoring Broker, ensuring supervision and advertising compliance consistent with Texas requirements.


Requirements

Required Qualifications


• Active Texas Broker license and ability to serve as Sponsoring Broker.

• Demonstrated experience in commercial real estate brokerage as a broker and/or sales leader (must not be solely residential).

• Strong leadership skills and experience motivating a team of salespeople.

• Proven success recruiting, developing, and retaining brokers and building a performance culture. 

• Strong operational discipline with CRM, pipeline management, and reporting. 

• Demonstrated ability to modernize sales and marketing practices, including digital and AI-enabled workflows. 


Preferred Qualifications


• Significant land brokerage expertise and a strong network in the Houston area land market.

• Track record building LinkedIn-led prospecting and thought leadership programs that drive measurable pipelines. 

• Experience leading change management for CRM/process/tool adoption in a brokerage environment.
