JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Young Adult Court (YAC) Intern
Employment Classification: Internship
Reports to: Young Adult Court Supervisor
Program hours: Mon- Friday: 8:30 AM- 5:00PM
Department: Young Adult Court
Program Summary: The YAC program is a collaborative partnership with Orangewood Foundation, UC Irvine, Probation and the Courts. This program provides support services, individualized case management, workshops, and special events to help young men impacted by the justice system, ages 18-25, receive support with the goal of graduating from the program in 18-24 months felony free.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with workshops focused on self-help, life skills and prosocial activities
- Assist young adults with completing the YAC Orientation process.
- Attend team meetings
All interns will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with their Fieldwork Supervisor and other team members, as well as perform tasks independently.
Requirements: Background check, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, required trainings and onboarding
