Position Summary
The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for members and guests. This role sets the tone for the dining experience by providing a warm welcome, managing seating and reservations, and supporting smooth restaurant flow. The Host/Hostess works closely with the Front of House team to ensure an organized, efficient, and enjoyable member experience.
Key Responsibilities
Member Experience
- Greet members and guests by name whenever possible (Mr., Ms., Miss, etc.)
- Escort guests to tables and present menus and daily features
- Answer phones and assist with questions, reservations, and to-go orders
Seating & Coordination
- Manage reservations and waitlists using Club Essential POS and Host Me
- Communicate seating updates with servers and bartenders
- Monitor dining room flow and assist with pacing
Setup & Support
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entry area
- Stock menus, children’s menus, and supplies
- Polish/roll silverware as needed
- Assist with buffet and event setup/breakdown
- Complete side work at the end of each shift
Teamwork & Service Standards
- Attend pre-shift lineups
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Support teammates and jump in where needed
- Provide prompt, courteous service to all members and guests
- Report issues or member concerns to management

Physical & Work Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Work safely around hot surfaces, wet floors, and typical restaurant equipment
