Reports to: Food & Beverage Managers 

Status: Seasonal | Non-Exempt | Hourly $18.00  


Position Summary
The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for members and guests. This role sets the tone for the dining experience by providing a warm welcome, managing seating and reservations, and supporting smooth restaurant flow. The Host/Hostess works closely with the Front of House team to ensure an organized, efficient, and enjoyable member experience. 


Key Responsibilities 

Member Experience 

  • Greet members and guests by name whenever possible (Mr., Ms., Miss, etc.) 
  • Escort guests to tables and present menus and daily features 
  • Answer phones and assist with questions, reservations, and to-go orders 

Seating & Coordination 

  • Manage reservations and waitlists using Club Essential POS and Host Me 
  • Communicate seating updates with servers and bartenders 
  • Monitor dining room flow and assist with pacing 

Setup & Support 

  • Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entry area 
  • Stock menus, children’s menus, and supplies 
  • Polish/roll silverware as needed 
  • Assist with buffet and event setup/breakdown 
  • Complete side work at the end of each shift 

Teamwork & Service Standards 

  • Attend pre-shift lineups 
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards 
  • Support teammates and jump in where needed 
  • Provide prompt, courteous service to all members and guests 
  • Report issues or member concerns to management

  • Willing to learn club standards and procedures 

Physical & Work Requirements 

  • Stand and walk for extended periods 
  • Lift up to 25 lbs occasionally 
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions 
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed 
  • Work safely around hot surfaces, wet floors, and typical restaurant equipment
