About the role
Allied OMS is looking for a Referral Marketing Specialist to drive growth across the Greater Los Angeles area, including Burbank, Newhall, Chino Hills, Corona, and Long Beach. This is a field-based, relationship-first role that sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, and healthcare — perfect for someone who is naturally charming, highly organized, and genuinely energized by getting out of the office and into the community.
You’ll be the face of our network to the dentists, orthodontists, pediatric dentists, and other oral health providers who refer patients to our surgeons. This role makes a direct, measurable impact on patient volume and practice growth — and you’ll have the tools, team, and autonomy to own it.
This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and works closely with the Director of Marketing, Associate of Doctor Recruiting & Practice Growth, and other referral marketing specialists in different regions.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain a strong network of referring providers across your region — general dentists, orthodontists, pediatric dentists, and other oral health professionals.
- You’re the point of contact that referring offices trust and look forward to seeing. You bring value every time you walk in the door.
- Execute targeted outreach strategies that increase patient referrals to Allied OMS practices, track your results, and continuously refine your approach.
- Organize and execute lunch-and-learns, provider education events, and in-office outreach that deepens relationships and builds brand awareness.
- Work alongside our surgeons and their teams to understand their referral goals and collaborate on strategies to hit them.
- Design simple, on-brand collateral — flyers, event invites, leave-behinds — using Canva or similar tools.
- Track referral trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and bring data-backed insights to your planning.
- Represent Allied OMS with professionalism, warmth, and credibility in every provider interaction.

- Experience in dental or healthcare sales, physician liaison work, or field marketing is a strong plus.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in referral marketing, field marketing, physician liaison work, or healthcare/dental sales
- Proven track record of building and managing provider or B2B relationships independently
- Comfortable managing a territory solo — you don’t need to be micromanaged to stay organized and on target
- Excellent verbal and written communication — polished, professional, and personable
- Experience with CRM tools, spreadsheets, or basic analytics platforms
- Comfortable creating simple marketing collateral using Canva, Adobe, or similar
- Ability to plan and execute events like lunch-and-learns, provider visits, or small group presentations
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, healthcare administration, or related field preferred (not required)
- Must be based in the Los Angeles, CA area with reliable transportation to visit practices regularly
Compensation
Base salary: $90,000 – $105,000 base
Quarterly performance bonus: Up to $3,000 per quarter ($12,000 annually) for on-target performers
Bonuses are paid quarterly and tied to four KPIs:
– Referral volume growth — net increase in referrals from your territory vs. quarterly goal
– New provider relationships established — number of new referring offices added to your network
– Event execution — in-office visits and lunch-and-learns completed vs. target
– Provider retention — engagement and retention rate of existing referring partners
