Position Overview:

The Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through account development, customer acquisition, and expansion within the Electrical Power Industry. This role develops and maintains customer relationships across utilities, power generation, transmission & distribution, industrial facilities, data centers, and electrical contractors.


The position focuses on developing new business opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, and supporting revenue growth across technical services, testing, equipment solutions including rentals and sales, calibration services, and related power industry offerings. The Account Manager collaborates cross-functionally to deliver consultative technical solutions while meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

  

Key Responsibilities:

1. Revenue Development & Market Growth:

· Execute a strategic sales plan aligned with company growth objectives.

· Identify, pursue, and close new opportunities across technical services, testing, equipment solutions—including rentals and sales—and calibration services.

· Expand market share by identifying opportunities to convert new customers and strengthen TechPro Power Group’s competitive positioning through differentiated value and strong client relationships.

· Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets.

· Execute sales strategies developed in coordination with leadership and Business Development initiatives to support market growth and customer engagement.


2. Account Management & Growth:

· Maintain and grow a defined portfolio of key accounts.

· Develop long-term customer partnerships through consultative selling.

· Conduct regular business reviews and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.


3. Industry Engagement:

· Leverage established relationships within utilities, generation facilities, T&D, renewable operations, industrial plants, data centers, and contractors.

· Represent TechPro Power Group at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.


4. Sales Operations & Forecasting:

· Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting within CRM.

· Prepare pricing proposals, contracts, and customer presentations.

· Monitor competitive activity and market trends.


5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

· Coordinate with operations, logistics, and technical teams to ensure successful project execution.

· Communicate customer requirements and feedback to internal stakeholders.


6. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support evolving business needs and organizational goals.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and contribute to team-wide learning and growth.
Requirements

  

· 5+ years of B2B sales experience within the Electrical Power Industry or closely related technical sector.

· Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

· Strong knowledge of electrical test and measurement equipment and/or power systems services.

· Ability to develop relationships with decision-makers within utilities, industrial power, transmission & distribution, renewable energy, data centers, or electrical contractors.

· Proven ability to close mid- to high-value commercial accounts.

· Ability to independently manage customer relationships and sales opportunities within assigned markets or accounts.

· Strong negotiation, presentation, and consultative selling skills.

· Experience managing CRM systems and maintaining accurate forecasting.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to travel as required.

· Valid driver’s license required; must be able to operate a company or personal vehicle for business purposes and meet all applicable company and client screening requirements based on job duties (e.g., motor vehicle record, background check, drug testing, or other applicable screenings).


Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience working for electrical test equipment manufacturers, distributors, or rental providers.

· Experience selling calibration services or NETA-related testing services.

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.

· Experience selling into federal contractor or utility-regulated environments.

· Existing book of business within the Electrical Power Industry.


Physical Requirements:
