The production management intern assists on many types of agency production including: Off-set print production, flexographic packaging production, packaging coordination and photography, video and broadcast production. The production management intern will assist in estimating, scheduling and delivering projects on time and within budget. This position works closely with all teams within the agency and also seeks and maintains relationships with a variety of outside vendors in order to obtain the best price and delivery options for all agency projects.
This person could be located in the Kansas City, MO, office; Columbia, MO, office; or remote.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists daily workflow on a multitude of production projects.
- Participates in kickoff and internal review meetings.
- Participates in weekly status meetings with project team(s).
- Proactively communicates known issues with supervisor.
- Follows up with vendors to ensure quoted delivery dates will be met.
- Oversees deliveries and coordinates delivery schedules with the team.
- Maintains open communication with production lead, project managers, studio manager, and creative personnel.
- Coordinates with accounts payable on entering purchase order and invoice information in Netsuite.
- Reviews work performed by suppliers (printers, photographers, etc.).
- Assists with vendor communication.
- Reviews courier bills and expenses, assigning billing to relevant job numbers.
- Works directly with creativity & innovation to ensure the highest quality results on every job.
Packaging and Print Production:
- Assist production and packaging team on managing the packaging database for ongoing packaging changes.
- Assists with high-volume data entry, auditing SKU information for accuracy, and helps track the status of pending edits within the internal database.
- Cross-checks printer proofs against database entries to ensure 100% technical accuracy before final sign-off.
- Ensures all Transfer of Liability (TOL) and licensing verbiage is documented and filed correctly.
Producer Responsibilities:
- Work with the production team to assign ISCI codes; manage talent and usage fees for audio and broadcast production projects.
- Producer responsibilities may also include reaching out to locations or coordinating with vendors or prospective subjects about shooting details, as well as attending shoots and managing editing timelines.
- Handles the physical logistics of production, including picking up parking passes, sourcing styling props/items for shoots, packing coolers/supplies for field teams, and managing the return of unused items.
- Manages the 'sample' workflow: Sourcing product bags for shoots, organizing the sample library, and ensuring the right formulas are available for photography.

Education/Experience/Certification/s:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (Graphic Arts Technology/ Management, Marketing Communications, Communications or related degree)
