Description

The SpringHill Emerging Leader program exists to activate our desire to grow the next generation of Christian leaders. Through spiritual mentoring, academic learning, and practical work experience. Students will obtain an MA in Outdoor Adventure Leadership and grow in their faith and leadership skills during this three year program.

Requirements

Key Job Functions

 

  • Build a missional community as you lead your respective team
  • Provide quality programming and ministry including envisioning, planning, implementing, and evaluating within areas under a specific area of responsibility
  • Recruit/interview/hire/disciple a team of college/high school aged staff
  • Develop clear and accurate records, schedules, and notes to be used by a future graduate in their area of work
  • Maintain positive partnerships with coworkers across the organization
  • Complete other assigned duties assigned by the Manager of Young Leader Development

Experience and Qualifications Requirements

  • Commitment to the mission and ministry philosophy of SpringHill
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in camping ministry preferred
  • Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised for extended periods of time performing tasks independently
  • Ability to exercise judgement and make good, sound decisions
  • Provide fun and engaging experiences for all SpringHill guests and campers

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, bend, and twist
  • Ability to push and pull loads
  • Must be able to lift frequently up to 35 lbs.; occasionally 35-100 lbs. with assistance
  • Good hand-eye coordination
