Environmental Director – Lead. Innovate. Make an Impact. Hulcher Resources is seeking an experienced Environmental Director to lead our Environmental Division, overseeing services that include site restoration, remediation & demolition, industrial services, environmental spills, wastewater and soil water separator maintenance, tank & pipeline cleaning, decommissioning and disposal as well as railcar and tanker purging and cleaning.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in developing, implementing, and administering site safety plans.
- Manages and supervises work on job sites in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assigns and monitors work being performed by Company personnel and subcontractors.
- Coordinates with Estimating personnel, Senior Managers and other individuals in preparation of bids and proposals.
- Coordinates with Region Vice-Presidents, Senior Division Managers and Division Managers in procurement of labor, equipment, materials and subcontractors for projects.
- Oversees accounting and other paperwork for projects.
- Ensures that equipment is maintained to published standards.
- Maintains communications with Mechanical Department regarding equipment.
- Assists with recruiting and training employees.
- Updates Customer Service and others about projects in a timely manner.
- Assists with expanding and increasing sales.
- Requires extensive contact with customers, prospective customers, field operations staff, general office staff and outside professional relationships.
- Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Confers with management staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
- Directs and coordinates activities of personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
- Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others
- Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
- Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies
- Ensures administrative requirements are completed in a timely manner
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required.
Requirements:
- 5+ years managing environmental project services
- 5+ years managing employees
- Strong regulatory compliance knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or related field
Knowledge/ Skills:
Advanced reasoning and supervisory skills; advanced ability to perform well in stressful situations; intermediate mathematical and language skills and technical writing ability. Must be knowledgeable about chemicals, chemical interaction and project planning.
Travel: Must be able to travel 75% of the time. Driving for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places, wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals; regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock, explosives, risk of radiation, and vibration; the noise level in the work environment is usually loud
