Stanford's Restaurant is looking for a motivated and talented Prep Cook to join our team in Seattle, WA. We’re hiring for a full-time position.
We’re open seven days a week, for lunchand dinner. We’re seeking an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their craft, and are passionate about great food and hospitality.

Pay Rate:
$21 - $23 per hour based on experience plus a percentage of any service charges.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Wash, peel, chop, slice, and dice fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Measure and mix ingredients for sauces, marinades, and dressings.
- Assist line cooks and chefs with daily food preparation and setup.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, storage, and coolers.
- Properly label, date, and store all food items to ensure freshness and food safety.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including temperature checks and cross-contamination prevention.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or needs to kitchen management.
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries.
- Support the kitchen team with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs for extended periods.
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude a must.
- Food Handler’s Permit (or ability to obtain one before starting).
