Pool Server
Description

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following is a summary of the major responsibilities of the position. 

Primary Tasks: 

  • Maintain the pool area according to the quality standards of the Hyatt Centric.  
  • Ensure cleanliness and readiness of entire pool area 
  • Greet all guests as they arrive at the poolside area 
  • Escort them to the desired lounges and/or table 
  • Empty trash as needed 
  • Offer and sell food and beverage items through Pool Bar to guests as needed. 
  • Open towels and provide guests with water 
  • Address and resolve all customer issues in an efficient and effective manner. 
  • Ensure all equipment is clean and in proper working condition. 
  • Report all deficiencies to the appropriate manager. 
  • Follow lost and found procedures in an efficient a timely manner. 
  • Responsible for the achievement of departmental objectives and goals. 
  • Maintain open communication with other departments. 
  • Attend meetings as necessary. 
  • Promote teamwork, employee motivation, and morale. 
  • Remain mindful of energy conservation. 
  • Follow all safety and security regulations. 
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the Hyatt Centric and its guests. 
  • At all times, adhere to the policies and procedures of  the Hyatt Centric. 
  • Any other assigned tasks or duties as required. 
  • Uphold Hyatt Centric’s commitment to superior service and hospitality. 

Qualifications:  

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule. 
  • First Aid and CPR Certifications are preferred. 

Skills:    

  • Extremely friendly and outgoing 
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Good swimming abilities. 

Education: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 

Work Environment: 

  • Colleagues are frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. 
  • Colleagues are frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. 
  • The noise level is generally moderate. 
Requirements

 Physical Requirements: 

  • While performing the duties of this position, colleague is regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. 
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste and smell. 
  • Must be able to lift and/or move 30 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
