The Food Pantry Clerk supports the daily operations of the agency’s Food Pantry. This position ensures that food distribution is conducted efficiently, safely, and in a welcoming manner, while maintaining accurate inventory records and adhering to agency policies and food safety regulations. Other responsibilities include Client Services & Check-In Operations; Data Entry & Documentation; Food Pantry Operations; Inventory & Compliance; Team Support & Coordination. Specific duties under each category will be addressed as part of the interview process.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in food service, warehouse, retail, or customer service is helpful but not required.
- Familiarity with food safety and handling procedures (training provided if necessary).
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and prioritize tasks, and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
- Proficiency with computers and software (MS Office, internet, reporting systems, JotForm).
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact respectfully with diverse populations.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and receiving techniques.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population and staff.
- Must adhere to all organizational and policies set forth by CAPP.
- Must maintain good attendance and punctuality.
- Prior clerical or administrative experience preferred.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Ability to drive department vehicles (Refrigeration Truck).
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Current Criminal Background Investigation clearance.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
