Job Title: In Home Caregiver

Summary: Shannondell at Valley Forge is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and reliable in-home caregiver to provide personalized care and assistance to residents in their homes. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals in maintaining their independence and quality of life in a comfortable, safe, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and engage in meaningful interactions with residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
• Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are followed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Assist with medication reminders and monitor residents’ health conditions, reporting any changes to the appropriate medical staff or family members.
• Provide transportation or accompany residents to appointments, errands, or recreational activities, as needed.
• Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate records of services provided.
• Uphold residents’ dignity, privacy, and independence while fostering a warm and respectful relationship.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and assist residents with mobility.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for providing quality care.
