Description
JOB PURPOSE
To assist the on-going communication and processing responsibilities typical of a Registrar's office, working primarily with student communications and student academic records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage student communications including phone calls, voicemails, emails, and walk-ins to best assist the student, or direct them to the individual best able to provide assistance.
- Enter, maintain, and manage data from various sources or files to update the Student Information System (CAMS) and document database (Docuware) on a regular basis. Maintaining a high level of accuracy allows the Registrar and the office team to address mismanagement of the system and the system data.
- Processing transcript requests received via paper request forms and through National Student Clearinghouse. This includes collecting requests and seeing them through to completion and distribution of the student transcript.
- Other duties assigned by the Registrar, as needed in relation to the functions of the Registrar’s Office
WORKING CONDITIONS
- No more than twenty-nine (20) hours per week
- Shared office environment
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Including, however not limited to:
- Christian with high integrity, actively pursuing a relationship with God
- Bachelor’s Degree, Preferred
- Knowledge in Registration, data processing, and higher education procedures
- Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and Student Information Systems.
- The ability to read and comprehend all information in regard to student records
- Ability to stay focused on tasks assigned
- Experience in higher education preferred
- Able to multi-task, analyze workload, and prioritize as necessary for the benefit of the department
- Able to take the initiative to complete the duties of the position without the need of direct supervision.
- Able to learn and utilize new skills and information to improve job performance and efficiency.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as a part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must possess a positive attitude
- Able to show a desire and willingness to learn
- Must be able to pass background screening, including driving record
- Eligible to work in the United States
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequently required to sit or stand for periods of time at desk or computer station
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Able lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
