Locations: Westminster, Longmont, Denver, CO + Telehealth

Ignite Counseling Colorado is a growing, privately held mental health practice providing specialized treatment for PTSD, addiction, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, and anxiety disorders. We serve individuals, groups, and communities with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, integrity, healthy boundaries, social justice, compassion, non-violence, and empowerment.


We are currently seeking Master’s-level Counseling students from Regis University for our Practicum-to-Internship training program.


Position Summary

This is a supervised clinical training opportunity designed for students pursuing licensure. Interns will gain hands-on experience through co-facilitating groups, conducting intakes, supporting individual counseling sessions, and participating in community outreach.


Key Responsibilities

  • Co-facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops 
  • Conduct client intakes, assessments, and referrals 
  • Provide individual counseling services under supervision 
  • Assist with group preparation, documentation, and administrative tasks 
  • Participate in supervision, consultation, training, and case presentations 
  • Track and report clinical hours in accordance with academic program requirements 
  • Support community outreach initiatives 
  • Perform additional clinical or operational duties as needed 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Current master’s student in Counseling at Regis University (required) 
  • Commitment to full practicum through internship placement 
  • Minimum of 10 hours per week during internship 
  • Willingness to work both in-person and via telehealth 
  • Strong interest in treating OCD and trauma 
  • Ability to travel between sites as needed 
  • Valid driver’s license and identification 
  • Successful completion of background check 
  • Adherence to HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional regulations

  • Foundational knowledge of counseling practices and techniques 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to balance flexibility with consistency in clinical settings 
  • Emotional regulation and composure in crisis situations (with supervision) 
  • Strong self-awareness and interpersonal effectiveness 
  • Comfort with technology, including EHR systems and telehealth platforms
