Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Gaming Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for handling of all paper and money from floor sales.
Essential Functions. An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Responsible for serving as banker, verifier and inventory control for floor salespeople.
- Maintains an inventory of paper used during the session, recording paper sales and cash of floor salespeople.
- Collects amount due for each game from all Floor Sales.
- Counts papers and put all extras back into groups of 25's.
- At the end of each game gives that information to the Bingo cashier to record in cash register.
- At the end of each session, verify the cash for Bingo sales by counting a second time and initialing the deposit slip.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Primary person is responsible for verifying the Bingo's declared and will help clean up at end of the night.
- Responsible for all Credit and Tele check transactions that are for "cash only" and not for purchases.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities. A comprehensive set of capabilities required to perform job tasks effectively:
- Understand the importance of good customer relations as well as being able to work well with fellow employees to operate as a team.
- Able to maintain a physical walking pace of 4 to 5 hours of floor work.
- Show a good attendance record and dependable work habits, free of alcohol or substance use during work hours.
- Maintain strict confidentiality concerning tribal members’ personal matters.
- Aware of and abide by the Alaska Department of Revenue Charitable Gaming regulations, including strict requirement of undergoing a State and Federal pre-employment background check verifying no felony charges or convictions.
- Aware of the Central Council’s workplace rules.
Minimum Qualifications (education, experience, skills):
- High school diploma or GED
- Six (6) months money-handling and operating a cash register experience..

- Work is performed in a professional office setting and is mainly sedentary. May require routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items weighing less than 40 lbs.

- Some travel may be required on small aircraft or ferry.
- Certain positions at Tlingit and Haida may have exposure to certain hazardous materials or conditions. The supervisor will review these if applicable.
