Pay   Grade(s): 7-9  ($25.26 - $39.86/hour DOE) 


 

Purpose: The Lead Auditor is   responsible for performing audit and reconciliation functions to support   accurate financial reporting, accountability, and compliance with   organizational policies and regulatory requirements. This position reviews   financial and operational records, reconciles assigned accounts and   transactions, and assists with monitoring internal controls and cash handling   procedures. The Lead Auditor supports efficient operations by maintaining   accurate documentation, identifying discrepancies, and promoting compliance   with established processes and standards.

This position may   initially begin as part-time with the potential to transition into a   full-time role based on operational needs.

 

Essential Functions. An   individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with   or without reasonable accommodation:

· Perform daily audit   and reconciliation activities for assigned operational and revenue areas.

· Audit, reconcile, and   balance assigned accounts, reports, and supporting documentation.

· Review financial   transactions, cash handling records, and related operational documentation   for accuracy and compliance.

· Prepare audit reports   and supporting documentation for accounting and operational review.

· Monitor compliance   with internal controls, organizational procedures, and applicable   regulations.

· Identify   discrepancies, variances, or process concerns and report findings   appropriately.

· Maintain accurate and   organized audit records and documentation.

· Provide support and   guidance to departments regarding audit procedures, documentation standards, and cash handling practices.

· Maintain   confidentiality of financial, operational, employee, and organizational   information.

· Maintain   professionalism and positive working relationships with employees, vendors, external partners, and the public.

· Comply with all   organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

· Perform other duties   as assigned.

 



Requirements

 

Knowledge, Skills &   Abilities. A comprehensive set of capabilities   required to perform job tasks effectively:

· Knowledge of audit   practices, internal controls, reconciliation procedures, and financial   recordkeeping preferred.

· Ability to review, reconcile, and analyze financial and operational records with strong   attention to detail.

· Ability to prepare   accurate reports and maintain organized documentation.

· Ability to identify   discrepancies and follow established procedures for resolution.

· Ability to maintain   confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

· Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

· Proficient in   Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems.

Minimum   Qualifications (education, experience, skills):

· High School Diploma or   GED required.

· Minimum of One (1)   year of accounting, auditing, cash handling, compliance, finance, or related   experience.

· Must be at least 21   years of age.

· Must be able to obtain   and maintain any required licenses, certifications, or clearances.
