Position Summary

Chartis Federal is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide systems administration support for a mission-critical tactical communications environment.

This role is responsible for supporting the continuous operation, performance, maintenance, backup and recovery readiness, and operational stability of communications systems infrastructure in a secure operational environment.


This position is contingent upon award.


Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and rebuild servers and infrastructure systems 
  • Configure hardware, software, storage, services, directories, and related systems 
  • Perform daily monitoring of systems, applications, logs, and operational health 
  • Conduct backup and recovery operations 
  • Perform file archival, storage management, and system maintenance 
  • Apply operating system patches, upgrades, and security updates 
  • Support system hardening and cybersecurity compliance 
  • Create, modify, and manage user accounts 
  • Provide Tier III troubleshooting and issue resolution 
  • Perform root cause analysis for infrastructure incidents 
  • Support hardware/software recovery activities 
  • Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning 
  • Optimize CPU, memory, and storage resources 
  • Maintain environmental monitoring equipment 
  • Develop and maintain system administration procedures 
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement 
  • Support ad hoc technical initiatives
