Position Summary
Chartis Federal is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide systems administration support for a mission-critical tactical communications environment.
This role is responsible for supporting the continuous operation, performance, maintenance, backup and recovery readiness, and operational stability of communications systems infrastructure in a secure operational environment.
This position is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and rebuild servers and infrastructure systems
- Configure hardware, software, storage, services, directories, and related systems
- Perform daily monitoring of systems, applications, logs, and operational health
- Conduct backup and recovery operations
- Perform file archival, storage management, and system maintenance
- Apply operating system patches, upgrades, and security updates
- Support system hardening and cybersecurity compliance
- Create, modify, and manage user accounts
- Provide Tier III troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Perform root cause analysis for infrastructure incidents
- Support hardware/software recovery activities
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning
- Optimize CPU, memory, and storage resources
- Maintain environmental monitoring equipment
- Develop and maintain system administration procedures
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
- Support ad hoc technical initiatives
