Position Overview:
The Chicago Bulls Business Strategy and Analytics Department is a team of strategic critical thinkers who champion a continuous improvement mindset across the organization. Responsibilities:
The Manager, Business Strategy & Analytics will report to the Director of Business Strategy & Analytics and support efforts to improve data-driven decision-making across the organization, with a specific focus on fan insights. This role will:
- Provide org-wide stakeholders with a data-driven perspective on who our fans are, what they care about, and how they behave, leveraging primary and secondary research and fan segmentation
- Partner with other departments, primarily Marketing and Content, to:
- Set clear goals for key projects to align with organizational priorities, and define how we measure success and track fan engagement
- Design and implement strategic solutions (e.g., dashboards, reports, and trackers) to provide clear insight into historical, current, and projected performance of key business metrics
- Create, maintain, and evolve fan feedback surveys and distill insights from results for key stakeholders
- Perform research to better understand our fans globally, nationally, and locally and share those insights internally to help us better serve our fans
- Leverage third party syndicated research to discover insights about our brand, fans, and customer experience
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions and produce measurable insights and recommendations
- Manage and develop analyst(s), providing clear direction and prioritization to ensure high-quality, impactful work, cultivating a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and continuous learning
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of professional experience in consulting, finance, strategy, business operations, analytics roles or related field (prior experience in sports not required)
- 1+ years managing staff preferred but not required
- Bachelor’s degree with a consistent track record of professional and personal achievement
- Outstanding Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills, with experience analyzing and synthesizing large data sets
- Proficiency in SQL, preferably working with a Cloud Data Warehouse such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake
- Experience in crafting effective charts, graphs, and visualizations (Tableau preferred)
- Experience in marketing analytics and fan segmentation research and development preferred

Compensation & Benefits:
The base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000 annually + structured bonus and is commission eligible. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
