This position is in-office every day at our East Point location, and the schedule is Sunday – Thursday. This person must be available to work weekends and flexible hours, as needed 7am-4pm or 10am-7pm.

Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers. About the Role:
This hands-on leadership role oversees day-to-day warehouse operations across inbound receiving, produce-focused cross-docking, and outbound shipping activities. The position is responsible for coordinating the flow of product from receipt through staging and final shipment, while ensuring food safety compliance, inventory and clerical accuracy, and on-time service execution. The Manager II, Operations leads, coaches, and engages supervisors and frontline employees to meet productivity, quality, and service-level objectives while supporting the Food Bank’s mission. This role is highly involved on the warehouse floor, providing direct leadership to balance inbound and outbound priorities, remove operational bottlenecks, uphold quality standards, and ensure safe execution of all processes. This role reports to the Director, Logistics.
What You’ll Do:
Supports Team:
- Oversees inbound receiving, cross-dock staging, and outbound shipping activities to support efficient end-to-end product flow.
- Coordinates daily dock schedules, workload distribution, and labor priorities to balance inbound and outbound volume safely and effectively.
- Reviews operational volume and establishes daily priorities to ensure receiving accuracy, clerical accuracy, order completeness, and on-time shipment execution.
- Directs, coordinates, and monitors daily cross-docking, shipping, and receiving activities to ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), food safety requirements, and safety standards.
- Identifies bottlenecks and develops process and system improvements to increase throughput, reduce dwell time, and improve operational accuracy and service levels.
- Supports the development of clear accountability structures, performance metrics, and measurable goals for the assigned team.

What You’ll Need: Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate:
- Experience working with food, perishables, temperature sensitive products and food safety standards.
- Demonstrated experience managing warehouse operations in areas such as cross-docking, receiving, shipping, order fulfillment, inventory control, and storage.
- Proven leadership skills in supervising and developing warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure team productivity and effectiveness.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles, including inbound and outbound dock operations, transportation, distribution, and warehouse team management.
- Understanding warehouse safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and compliance requirements related to workplace safety, equipment operation, and hazardous materials handling.
- Able to identify operational inefficiencies, propose process improvements, and optimize workflows to enhance productivity, throughput, and efficiency across warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Microsoft Office Suite to monitor product flow, accuracy, reporting, and operational performance.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues, resolve challenges, and make data-driven decisions to improve warehouse operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders.
