Production Team Lead

Are you an experienced manufacturing professional who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and keeping production moving? Stevens Industries is looking for a Production Team Lead to help lead our manufacturing team and keep daily operations running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This is more than a job on the production floor—you'll play an important role in developing employees, improving processes, maintaining quality, and helping our team succeed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead, motivate, and support production team members while providing training, coaching, and feedback.
- Assist the Production Supervisor with daily production activities and workflow.
- Monitor production goals, quality, and efficiency while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Troubleshoot production issues and help develop solutions to keep operations running smoothly.
- Promote a safe, clean, and productive work environment and ensure safety policies and regulations are followed.
- Monitor product quality and make adjustments when needed to ensure specifications are met.
- Lead daily safety checks of equipment, including forklifts, conveyor equipment, and designated areas of tractor-trailer and over-the-road trucks.
- Train and cross-train employees in other production positions as needed.
- Work closely with Engineering, Logistics, Quality, and other departments to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Help implement continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a production team.
- Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, tools, and materials.
- Knowledge of quality control, inventory management, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new responsibilities.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
