Cranshaw Construction is seeking a QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control efforts across our growing portfolio of commercial, multifamily, and high-performance construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and elevate quality processes across the organization while serving as a key resource to project teams in the field. The ideal candidate is passionate about construction quality, building envelope performance, subcontractor coordination, and proactive problem-solving. Experience with Passive House or other high-performance building standards is highly desirable.

As QA/QC Manager, you will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Architects, Consultants, and Trade Partners to identify risks early, establish best practices, and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and workmanship.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC efforts across active construction projects.
• Review field conditions for compliance with contract documents, specifications, approved submittals, and project quality standards.
• Monitor building envelope, waterproofing, air barrier, insulation, and other critical assemblies to ensure proper installation.
• Identify and document quality concerns, track corrective actions, and verify resolution.
• Maintain project quality documentation, including inspection records, checklists, mockups, photos, deficiency logs, and closeout      materials.
• Coordinate and participate in pre-installation meetings for critical scopes of work.
• Support project teams through focused inspections and quality reviews during construction.
• Work collaboratively with Superintendents and subcontractors to communicate quality expectations and resolve issues before they impact schedule or cost.
• Assist with punch list management and project closeout activities.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of company QA/QC standards, procedures, checklists, and training initiatives.
• Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Areas of Focus

The QA/QC Manager will play a key role in reviewing and supporting:

• Building envelope systems
• Air barriers and air sealing
• Waterproofing systems
• Roofing systems
• Window and door installations
• Exterior wall assemblies and cladding
• Insulation systems
• Firestopping and compartmentalization
• MEP penetrations and coordination
• Mockups and first-in-place installations
• Blower door testing and building performance verification
• Quality documentation and closeout requirements

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, facilities management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction projects, preferably in Cranshaw’s core markets of multi-family residential, mixed-use, office, or lab/life science .
• Strong knowledge of building envelope systems, waterproofing, air barriers, and construction quality practices.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals.
• Proven ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and consultants.
• Prior experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Field Supervision, or Superintendent roles strongly preferred.
• Experience with Passive House, high-performance building projects, or commissioning activities is a plus.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Procore or similar), Bluebeam, scheduling software (MS Project or similar), modeling software a plus 
• Preferred Certifications: Passive House (CPHB and CPHT), Construction Quality Management for      Contractors (CQM-C), Certified Quality Manager/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), OSHA 10, and Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand/walk for extended periods

· Ability to work outdoors or jobsite environment

· Use of PPE as required

Work Environment

· Office and field 

The salary range for this position is $125,000 – $155,000. Compensation is part of a comprehensive total rewards package, including bonus and final offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
