Role Purpose

The Field Services Project Manager is responsible for supporting Falcon Structures projects from planning through successful field execution and closeout. This hybrid role combines project management responsibilities while working from Falcon facilities with hands-on field leadership when projects require on-site support.

While in the office, this position manages assigned projects, coordinates schedules and project requirements, communicates with customers and internal teams, identifies risks, and prepares projects for successful field execution.

While traveling to project sites, the Field Services Project Manager serves as Falcon's on-site representative, coordinating installation activities, employees, subcontractors, customers, inspectors, and other project stakeholders to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

This position serves as an important link between customers, Field Services, Production, Engineering, Quality, and other internal teams to help ensure projects move smoothly from production through installation and final closeout.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Project Management & Coordination

  • Manage assigned projects from planning through completion, including schedules, milestones, deliverables, and project documentation.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers on assigned projects.
  • Coordinate project requirements across internal departments including Production, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, Sales, and Field Services.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and communicate changes, risks, and priorities to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Maintain working knowledge of permitting, code, and inspection requirements across project sites to assess risk. Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential schedule, cost, quality, or execution risks.
  • Facilitate internal and external project meetings and provide regular project status updates.
  • Coordinate project documentation, approvals, inspections, deliveries, and other requirements necessary to support successful execution.
  • Support project budgeting, cost tracking, change management, and financial documentation as required.
  • Maintain organized project records and ensure outstanding items are completed or resolved as agreed.
  • Support project closeout activities and capture lessons learned for future projects.

Field Services & Site Execution

  • Manage delivery prep operations and quality control to ensure all units are ready for site setup prior to shipping. This includes units to be set up by customers without Falcon resources or other service scopes.
  • Prepare for Falcon’s site setup projects by creating detailed plans and securing needed resources for executing the plan (to include logistics, crane, welding, in-house trades, rental equipment, and other resources).
  • Travel to customers and project locations as needed to support setup, installation, inspections, and project closeout.
  • Flag potential compliance, permitting, or inspection risks as they arise on-site and escalate promptly to appropriate personnel to prevent failures.
  • Serve as Falcon's on-site representative and coordinate activities between customers, employees, general contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and other trade partners.
  • Coordinate day-to-day site activities including scheduling, sequencing, deliveries, equipment, staging, and installation requirements.
  • Provide direction and coordination to subcontractors and trade partners performing work on Falcon projects.
  • Monitor field progress and identify issues that may impact schedule, quality, safety, or customer expectations. Develop contingencies for responding to issues that do develop.
  • Coordinate with internal Falcon teams to resolve field issues and ensure timely corrective action.
  • Support site inspections and work with customers, contractors, inspectors, and applicable authorities to address project requirements.
  • Develop, track, and coordinate completion of punch-list items through project closeout.
  • Ensure field activities are performed in accordance with Falcon safety expectations and applicable job-site requirements.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers and project partners throughout field execution.

Cross-Functional Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide field feedback to Engineering, Production, Quality, and Project teams regarding installation challenges, constructability, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in project reviews and lessons-learned discussions to improve future project execution.
  • Support development and improvement of Field Services procedures, installation standards, checklists, and best practices.
  • Assist internal teams with understanding field conditions and installation requirements, leading to improved designs for future projects.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and operational needs.
