Position Summary
The Leasing Intern will support the Leasing team in providing an exceptional experience for prospective
and current residents while gaining hands-on experience in residential property management. This
internship offers exposure to leasing operations, resident relations, marketing, and administrative
functions in a fast-paced property management environment.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, customer-focused, eager to learn, and interested in building a career
in real estate, property management, or business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing Support
• Assist with greeting prospective residents and directing them to the appropriate leasing team
member.
• Learn how to conduct apartment tours and present community amenities.
• Assist with responding to phone calls, emails, and general leasing inquiries.
• Help maintain accurate information on available units, pricing, and community features.
• Observe and learn Fair Housing practices and company leasing procedures.
Administrative Support
• Assist with collecting and organizing rental applications and supporting documentation.
• Help prepare leasing paperwork and maintain resident files.
• Update leasing activity, traffic reports, and marketing trackers.
• Assist with data entry and maintaining accurate leasing records.
Marketing & Resident Engagement
• Support marketing initiatives by helping maintain online listings and promotional materials.
• Assist with social media content and community marketing efforts, when applicable.
• Help prepare for resident events and community activities.
Property Operations
• Participate in property walks to ensure vacant units are presentable and move-in ready.
• Assist with pre-move-out inspections alongside the leasing or maintenance team.
• Observe turnover preparation and learn the apartment make-ready process.
• Work closely with Maintenance and Resident Relations teams to understand daily property
operations.
Professional Development
• Attend team meetings and training sessions.
• Learn property management software and leasing best practices.
• Shadow experienced leasing professionals to develop customer service and sales skills.
• Complete other projects and assignments as needed.

Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate,
Communications, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong interest in property management or real estate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or Google Workspace.
• Previous customer service, retail, or sales experience is a plus but not required.
