Management Controls Inc. (MCi) is excited to welcome an Enterprise Solution Architect to our dynamic team. The Enterprise Solution Architect will serve as a strategic leader and subject matter expert in MCi’s product ecosystem, ensuring that technology solutions are aligned with the organization’s business objectives and enterprise architecture standards. This role will engage with internal and external stakeholders to design and communicate comprehensive, end-to-end enterprise solutions. The Enterprise Solution Architect will also drive architectural governance, promote best practices across teams, and collaborate with product and engineering leadership to influence the roadmap and ensure scalability and long-term sustainability of MCi’s offerings.

 Management Controls Inc. is headquartered in Houston, Texas; this position is hybrid or may telecommute. 

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on MCi’s product portfolio, supporting internal teams and external customers by explaining system capabilities, configurations, and functional use cases for MCi solutions (including Track, Forecaster, Insights, Reporting, ERP, and ACS interfaces). 
  • Provide technical and functional guidance to help customers understand how MCi products can be configured and integrated to meet defined business requirements. Collaborate with customers to analyze business and technical requirements and contribute to the design of end-to-end enterprise solutions using MCi products.
  • Participate in Business Requirements Workshops by gathering requirements, documenting solution options, and advising on system capabilities and integration approaches consistent with existing product functionality. 
  • Act as a technical resource during discovery, pre sales, and implementation related discussions by participating in calls with Sales, Account Management, Consulting, and client stakeholders.
  • Explain system architecture, data flows, and integration options with ERP, ACS, and maintenance systems, and support proof of concept demonstrations for prospective and existing customers. 
  • Work cross functionally with Product, Engineering, PMO, and other internal teams to provide technical input, document solution specifications, and support estimation and planning activities. 
  • Contribute technical expertise to solution documentation, integration designs, customization assessments, and implementation planning, without direct authority over project delivery or personnel. 
  • Evaluate requested customizations and integrations to assess technical feasibility and potential impact on the existing product suite. 
  • Provide recommendations and alternatives based on platform capabilities, scalability, and maintainability. Support ongoing customer relationships by serving as a trusted technical advisor, responding to solution related questions, clarifying system functionality, and assisting customers in understanding available solution options. 
  • Maintain an in depth understanding of assigned client environments, including functional workflows and technical landscapes. Share knowledge with peers through collaboration, documentation, and informal mentoring, and contribute feedback to the Product team regarding enhancement requests, usability improvements, and integration needs. 

This role does not include direct people management, formal supervisory responsibility, or ownership of departmental

budgets or staffing decisions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology, or closely related degree field.
  • 5 years of experience as Procurement and Warehouse Systems Architect, Procurement and Warehouse Software Architect, Procurement IT Advisor, Track/my Track Solution Architect or related occupational titles with experience in Track, myTrack, SAP (specifically in Materials Management/Procurement), Ariba, System Integration (including cloud integration), Procure to Pay Process, Working with Global Team and customers, and Software Development Lifecycle.
  • 20% travel to domestic and international locations where Management Controls, Inc. has customer sites. International locations include Canada, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa
