About the Role

Shalom Austin is seeking an experienced and strategic Enterprise Systems Director to lead the organization's digital transformation, technology operations, cybersecurity program, and implementation of Salesforce as our enterprise CRM platform. The Director will oversee enterprise systems, technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance, and business process improvement while partnering with staff, executive leadership, vendors, our managed services provider (MSP), and implementation consultants to modernize systems, strengthen security, and improve organizational effectiveness. This leader will play a critical role in shaping how technology, data, and business processes advance Shalom Austin's mission. The Director reports to the Chief Financial Officer and supervises the IT Specialist and CRM Database Manager.


Essential Functions:


Digital Transformation & Salesforce Leadership

  • Lead Shalom Austin's digital transformation strategy and enterprise systems roadmap.
  • Serve as the primary internal leader for Salesforce implementation and long-term optimization.
  • Partner with implementation consultants to guide discovery, design, data migration, testing, training, deployment, and user adoption.
  • Establish governance, system ownership, prioritization, and decision-making processes for enterprise applications.
  • Lead organizational change management, communications, training, and user adoption efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, reporting, automation, and constituent experiences through technology.

Enterprise Systems & Data Leadership

  • Oversee enterprise applications, databases, reporting platforms, integrations, and organizational data strategy.
  • Lead data governance initiatives to improve data quality, accessibility, security, and reporting capabilities.
  • Partner with departments to improve workflows and maximize the value of technology investments.
  • Develop reporting and analytics capabilities that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Evaluate new technologies, automation opportunities, and AI solutions that improve organizational effectiveness.

Technology Operations & Cybersecurity

  • Oversee technology infrastructure, networks, cloud services, telecommunications, hardware, software, audiovisual systems, and end-user support.
  • Ensure systems are secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for the organization's Managed Services Provider (MSP), establishing priorities, monitoring service delivery, managing escalations, coordinating projects, and ensuring technology services meet organizational needs and service-level expectations.
  • Lead cybersecurity efforts including security policies, user access management, incident response, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Establish standards for technology lifecycle management, software licensing, system configuration, and technology support services.
  • Assess emerging technology and cybersecurity risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

Vendor, Project & Team Leadership

  • Manage technology vendors, consultants, implementation partners, contracts, budgets, and project portfolios.
  • Supervise technology staff and support their professional growth and development.
  • Present technology plans, project updates, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership and committees.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and customer service.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise systems, technology management, digital transformation, or related disciplines.
  • Experience overseeing enterprise-wide implementations, governance frameworks, business process redesign, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Experience supervising employees, vendors, consultants, or project teams.
  • Knowledge of technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, CRM platforms, databases, reporting, integrations, and data-management practices.
  • Strong project-management, change-management, analytical, communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.
  • Experience overseeing both IT operations and CRM, database, reporting, or analytics functions.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, identity and access management, business-intelligence tools, and system integrations.
  • Experience in a nonprofit, membership, community-service, healthcare, education, or similarly complex organization.
Salary Description
$105,000-$110,000
