Water Mill Building Supply is hiring a Customer Service Representative to join our showroom team in Water Mill, NY. In this full-time role, you’ll answer questions, coordinate with sales associates, and help customers from their first inquiry through order completion.

What you’ll do

• Assist customers by phone, email, and in person with friendly, professional service.
• Provide accurate information about products, services, orders, and company policies.
• Schedule customer appointments with sales associates.
• Process orders, returns, exchanges, payments, and other customer requests accurately.
• Resolve questions and concerns, coordinating with sales and other departments when needed.
• Follow up with customers to ensure their requests are addressed.
• Document customer interactions and maintain accurate records.
• Help keep the showroom professional and welcoming.
• Protect confidential customer information and follow company procedures.
• Meet established customer service, quality, and performance standards.

What you’ll need

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A helpful, approachable attitude and the ability to remain calm when resolving customer concerns.
• Attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using computers, email, and business software.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work both independently and with a team.
• Ability to reliably commute to Water Mill, NY.

Preferred qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, customer support, retail, a showroom, administration, or sales support.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience processing orders and managing customer relationships.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, or Solar Eclipse.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• On-site in Water Mill, NY
