- A direct role in improving machinery reliability, preventing downtime, and supporting production continuity

What You Will Do
You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, align, and relocate industrial machinery and production equipment throughout Elmet's Euclid facility. Your work will combine responsive repair with disciplined preventive maintenance and long-term reliability improvement.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild industrial machinery and production equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues involving bearings, gearboxes, shafts, couplings, conveyors, pumps, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and related components
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
- Install, align, level, and relocate machinery using appropriate rigging, lifting, and precision alignment techniques
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Disassemble equipment, repair or replace components, reassemble machinery, and complete precision alignment as required
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and other Maintenance team members to troubleshoot failures and identify lasting reliability improvements
- Follow all required safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, rigging, lifting, and PPE standards
About You
You understand how industrial machinery fits together and take a methodical approach to diagnosing problems, completing repairs, and returning equipment to safe, dependable operation. You may be a strong fit if you bring:
- Previous millwright, industrial maintenance, industrial mechanic, or related skilled-trades experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair capabilities
- Experience with bearings, gearboxes, shafts, couplings, pumps, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and other industrial equipment
- Experience installing, aligning, leveling, and relocating industrial machinery
- The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation
- Knowledge of rigging, lifting, and safe material-handling practices
- Experience using precision measuring and alignment tools
- The judgment and independence to solve complex equipment problems safely
- A commitment to safety, equipment reliability, quality, and teamwork
Defining Success
Success means more than completing a repair. It means helping equipment return to service safely, addressing the underlying problem, and reducing the likelihood that the same failure happens again. You will be successful when:
- Equipment downtime is reduced and machinery reliability improves
- Preventive and corrective maintenance is completed safely and effectively
- Industrial equipment is installed, aligned, and repaired accurately
- Mechanical failures are diagnosed and resolved in a timely manner
- Preventive maintenance schedules and safety procedures are followed consistently
- Maintenance, Production, and Engineering work together effectively
- Equipment, tools, and work areas remain clean, organized, and properly maintained
Additional Tools in Your Toolbox May Include
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Experience with precision alignment, machinery relocation, rigging, lifting, and rebuilding complex industrial equipment can also help you contribute quickly in this role.
