Westcliff University is seeking a strategic, innovative, and data-driven Senior CRM & Lifecycle Marketing Manager to lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of lifecycle marketing across the Westcliff portfolio of educational organizations and affiliated brands. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing CRM communications, email marketing, marketing automation, and customer journey strategies that support Westcliff University, Westcliff Early Learning Academy (WELA), WSCL, Westcliff Canada, and other organizations across the Westcliff portfolio.

Serving as the organization's subject matter expert for CRM and lifecycle marketing, this individual will establish best practices, build scalable processes, and create customer-centric communication strategies that strengthen recruitment, engagement, retention, and long-term relationship building. The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and a hands-on marketer who enjoys building campaigns, leveraging data, improving customer experiences, and developing high-performing teams.




Senior CRM & Lifecycle Marketing Manager


 

CRM & Lifecycle Strategy

  • Develop and execute lifecycle marketing strategies across the Westcliff portfolio.
  • Design, implement, and optimize customer journey maps for prospective students, applicants, enrolled students, alumni, parents, and other key audiences.
  • Establish CRM and lifecycle marketing standards, governance, and best practices that support organizational growth.
  • Partner with Enrollment, Admissions, Academic Affairs, Community & Engagement, and Marketing leadership to align lifecycle communications with institutional priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engagement, conversion, and retention through data-driven, personalized communications. 

CRM, Email Marketing & Marketing Automation

  • Serve as the primary owner of CRM communications and email marketing initiatives.
  • Develop, build, deploy, and optimize responsive email campaigns using Slate CRM and Mailchimp.
  • Create and manage automated workflows, nurture campaigns, behavioral triggers, and multi-step customer journeys.
  • Develop audience segmentation and personalization strategies that improve engagement and customer experience.
  • Build reusable email templates and maintain the enterprise email communications calendar.
  • Ensure all communications meet accessibility, deliverability, compliance, and brand standards.

Content, Analytics & Optimization

  • Write, edit, and develop compelling email content aligned with institutional messaging and brand standards.
  • Collaborate with Creative Services to develop engaging, responsive email experiences that drive action.
  • Lead A/B and multivariate testing across messaging, design, personalization, segmentation, and customer journeys.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on lifecycle marketing performance, using data and customer insights to continuously improve engagement, conversion, and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop dashboards and executive reporting that provide actionable recommendations.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Community & Engagement, Enrollment, Admissions, Marketing Operations, Digital Marketing, Creative Services, Analytics, IT, and institutional leadership.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the Westcliff portfolio to develop integrated communication strategies that support organizational priorities.
  • Serve as the organization's internal expert on CRM communications, lifecycle marketing, customer journey mapping, marketing automation, and email marketing.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, privacy regulations, accessibility standards, and industry best practices.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for assigned team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and accountable team culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Establish priorities, goals, and performance expectations while supporting employee growth and development.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and coordinate internal and external resources to ensure successful execution of lifecycle marketing programs.
  • Support the continued growth of the CRM and lifecycle marketing function by helping define future processes, roles, and organizational capabilities.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Seven (7) or more years of progressive experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, marketing automation, and email marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing marketing professionals or cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience using Slate CRM and Mailchimp to build, automate, deploy, and optimize email marketing campaigns.
  • Proven experience developing customer journey maps, lifecycle nurture strategies, and marketing automation programs.
  • Strong understanding of CRM strategy, audience segmentation, personalization, and customer lifecycle management.
  • Experience developing responsive email templates with a working knowledge of HTML and CSS for email development.
  • Strong understanding of email deliverability, accessibility, CAN-SPAM, CASL, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical, project management, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher education, education technology, or other complex, multi-brand marketing experience.
  • Experience integrating CRM and marketing automation platforms.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar reporting tools.

Salary Description
$90,000 to $110,000
