Renstar Medical Research is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to join our clinical research team on an as-needed (PRN) contractor basis. In this role, you will conduct initial dietary counseling and follow-up appointments with clinical research trial participants. This position offers a flexible schedule with part-time hours; it is not a guaranteed full-time or set-hours role, and hours will fluctuate based on active study needs.

  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate with research staff and healthcare professionals as needed

• Evaluate patient lifestyle, nutritional, and health needs

• Provide initial counseling, and periodic counseling throughout the study

• Create nutritional programs based on those health needs

• Advise patients on setting specific nutrition and exercise goals

• Develop a thorough, cost-efficient meal plan that includes healthy foods and meets nutrition goals

• Monitor, track, and adjust meal plans

• Provide research subjects with educational facts on nutrition to improve their health

• Work with research subjects and study partners to help them make desired dietary changes to their lifestyles

• Document training and progress on study-specific documents

• Review and sign study-related source documentation promptly and in accordance with study timelines

Requirements

  

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, clinical nutrition, public health nutrition, or a related field

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification, Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), and/or Florida state license as required by law

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

• Organized and able to manage multiple nutrition plans, budgets, and schedules

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible, variable schedule

We conduct studies both in Lady Lake and Ocala- you could be scheduled at either location.
