ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
Urban Dove Team Charter School  is a network of public charter high schools designed to serve over-age, under-credited students and other young people seeking a different pathway to graduation. Urban Dove combines rigorous academics with its signature Sports-Based Youth Development (SBYD) model to prepare students for college, career, and life beyond high school.

Building on Urban Dove’s established work in New York City, Urban Dove Team Charter School Memphis I and Memphis II will open in Fall 2027 as two brand-new public charter high schools in Memphis. Our founding Memphis team will have the unique opportunity to build new school communities, establish strong partnerships, and create student pipelines from the ground up

  • Maintain accurate recruitment records, referral sources, contact attempts, engagement status, and next actions within Urban Dove's recruitment/enrollment systems.
  • Identify inactive or unresponsive leads and implement re-engagement strategies to maintain a healthy recruitment pipeline.
  • Conduct regular field-based recruitment throughout Memphis, including schools, community centers, churches, youth-serving organizations, neighborhood events, athletic events, and other locations where prospective students and families can be reached.
  • Develop relationships with school counselors, administrators, coaches, youth workers, nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations, and other referral partners.
  • Coordinate recurring distribution of recruitment materials at partner locations and maintain an active inventory of high-value distribution sites.

  • Proven ability to build relationships and engage effectively with young people, families, school personnel, and community partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate Urban Dove’s mission and school model in a compelling and accessible way.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage recruitment leads, multiple priorities, events, and deadlines.
  • Creative and strategic thinker who is comfortable developing new outreach strategies and building recruitment pipelines from the ground up.
