Join Varney Agency's Business Development Center and play a key role in driving new business growth.  We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Lines Sales associate to support our commercial insurance sales efforts. This role is centered on developing fast, accurate, and competitive commercial insurance quotes while proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through outbound prospecting.  In this position, you'll work closely with our branch offices, existing clients, and prospective clients to help uncover coverage gaps, identify vulnerabilities, and create solutions that strengthen client relationships and generate new business growth.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, thrives on outbound relationship-building, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service and accurate quoting.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and deliver timely, accurate commercial insurance quotes for both prospective and existing clients.
• Respond to commercial insurance quoting requests from Varney Agency branch offices.
• Conduct outbound prospecting calls to existing clients and targeted prospects to generate sales opportunities.
• Follow up on quotes and leads to help drive new business conversion and agency growth.
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal team members while providing an exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain accurate records and manage multiple quoting and prospecting activities simultaneously.

• Strong communication skills with a professional, confident telephone presence.
• Sales-minded individual who enjoys prospecting and building relationships.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a high-volume, goal-oriented team setting.
• Familiarity with Windows-based systems required.
• Previous sales experience, customer service experience, or commercial insurance experience preferred.
• Insurance experience is a plus, but Varney Agency will train the right candidate.
