Minimum Qualifications / Requirements

  • 10+ years of demonstrated network engineering and architecture experience designing, configuring, monitoring, and      troubleshooting complex enterprise networks. 
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, and firewall platforms (e.g., ISR, ASR, CSR, ASA, Nexus,      TACACS/ISE). 
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, GRE, IPsec, VRF). 
  • Solid understanding of MPLS, DMVPN, and SD-WAN technologies. 
  • Proficiency with routing/switching, firewalls, load  balancers, and proxy servers. 
  • High-level architectural and operational experience supporting complex networks. 
  • Experience facilitating network requirements sessions. 
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools. 
  • Ability to create and update network diagrams (Visio). 
  • Previous experience supporting federal networks is a  plus. 
  • Experience producing design documentation, diagrams, and engineering artifacts. 
  • Must be resourceful and able to learn a large, complex and evolving network.

Education

BA / BS (relevant field); relevant IT experience may be a substitute for education.

Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer / Administrator, F5

Software/Hardware Desired

Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams)

Experience with creating network diagrams in MS Visio
