Who We Are

Findara Auto Finance, LLC is building a modern specialty finance platform serving non-prime and near-prime automotive borrowers through a network of independent dealerships. 

We are not a legacy lender adding a technology layer. We are building the platform, the analytics, and the operation together, from the ground up, with the intent of becoming a nationally recognized finance company — not simply another indirect auto lender. 

This is an early-stage company with experienced operators, real capital behind it, and a specific point of view about how this business should be run. We think most of what the industry does by default exists because nobody stopped to ask why. 

Position Summary

Findara is an early-stage indirect auto lender serving subprime borrowers through a dealer network. We are hiring our first Director of IT to build and own the technology foundation the business runs on: infrastructure, data, security, and the loan origination and servicing platforms. 

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will administer systems yourself, write and ship code with AI-assisted development, and set the standards the team grows into.

What You Will Own 

• Own Windows, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID administration: identity, access, devices, licensing, and policy. 
• Design, administer, and tune SQL Server databases that hold application, credit, and loan performance data. 
• Build internal tools, data pipelines, and analytics in Python using Claude Code, with code managed in Git and GitHub. 
• Automate administration and schedule production jobs with PowerShell. 
• Lead the security program: access controls, endpoint protection, monitoring, incident response, and audit readiness (SOC 2 and lender compliance). 
• Implement, integrate, and support the loan origination system (LOS) and loan management system (LMS). 
• Manage vendors, budgets, and the technology roadmap as Findara scales. 

Technical requirements

• Windows - Server and endpoint administration, patching, Group Policy or Intune 
• Microsoft 365 & Entra ID - Tenant administration, conditional access, MFA, licensing, Exchange and SharePoint 
• SQL Server & SSMS - Database administration: backups, performance tuning, security, Agent jobs 
• Claude Code - Daily use for development and analytics, with sound review of AI-written code 
• Python - Primary language for tools, ETL, and analysis 
• PowerShell - Admin automation and scheduled jobs in production 
• Git & GitHub - Branching, pull requests, code review, and source control for the codebase 
• Cybersecurity - Least-privilege access, logging, vulnerability management, incident response 

Auto originations experience (preferred)

• LOS: Configuring and supporting a loan origination system for indirect dealer applications, including credit bureau, decisioning, and verification integrations. 
• LMS: Administering a loan management system for servicing, payments, collections, and reporting, with clean data flowing to SQL Server. 
• Experience with platforms such as LoanPro, Fuse, or defi SOLUTIONS is a strong plus. 

Required

• 8+ years in IT, with 3+ years leading infrastructure or technology for a business. 
• Consumer lending, auto finance, or other regulated financial services experience strongly preferred. 
• Working knowledge of GLBA, FCRA, and data privacy obligations for consumer credit data. 
• Comfortable in a startup: builds from scratch, documents as they go, and explains technical tradeoffs to non-technical leaders. 
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience 

Education

Relevant experience is what matters for this role. A degree is welcome but not required. 

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $125,000 – $150,000, commensurate with experience 
• Annual performance bonus
