Bay Cast Foundry is a division of the Bay Cast Companies; a business located in Bay City, Michigan providing large format steel and stainless-steel castings to the Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, Power Generation, Mining, and Machine Tool industries. Bay Cast Foundry currently has open positions for 1st and 2nd shift Welders. Competitive compensation based on experience and skillset ranging from $17-$30 per hour based on skills/experience. These are hands on positions. 2nd Shift is Mon-Fri from 4:30pm-2:00am and occasional Saturdays. These positions average 45-50 hours per week and employees are paid weekly!

The Welders primary responsibility will be MIG welding carbon, alloyed and stainless steel castings. Additional job duties will include carbon arc gouging and shaping.

Responsibilities:

• Produce quality welds free of defects
• Prepare weld cavity by method of arc gouging and grinding
• Metal removal using arc gouging method
• Read and follow established weld procedures and work instructions
• Change wire and gas tanks as needed
• Properly set weld parameters on machine

Experience/Qualifications:

• Prefer 2-3 years GMAW experience and/or education
• Must be motivated and willing to take on multiple tasks
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Proven work history
• Be able to pass background check and drug test.
• Ability to pass a welding skills test administered by the company prior to hire.
