Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist (BHOT) will provide clinical expertise to Aquila of Delaware, Inc. Outpatient Program. She/he is responsible for working with multidisciplinary treatment teams for the delivery of effective person centered treatment services to person served under the supervision of a clinical supervisor. The BHOT is an effective clinician with experience in providing a variety of clinical services to persons with substance use and mental health disorders, including the development of comprehensive assessments and treatment plans, delivery of a wide range of clinical and supportive services, and working collaboratively with the treatment team and other service providers. The BHOT utilizes evidenced-based practices in regard to licensure and contractual requirements.

She/he demonstrates strengths in the ability to solve problems and implement proactive interventions and responses to adults with substance use and mental health disorders for a better quality of life. The BHOT effectively contributes to and supports an environment that enhances the positive self image of persons served and preserves their human dignity.


Requirements
  • Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or human services field from an accredited college or university
  • At least one year of clinical experience in the substance use and/or mental health treatment field
  • Possess passion and compassion for person’s served.
