Reporting to the Pacific Northwest Regional Director, the Pacific Northwest Project Manager will oversee multiple projects that support our regional goals to transition land to a new generation of farmers and help them adopt regenerative agricultural practices; inspire new efforts to protect farmland; support women farmers and landowners; and accelerate solar energy while strengthening farming; and promote farm viability.
What You’ll Be Working On
An integral part of AFT’s growing Pacific Northwest team, the Project Manager develops, manages, and implements grant-funded projects across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. This currently includes projects that ensure women farmers, ranchers, and landowners have knowledge, skills, and access to technical and financial assistance they need to adopt conservation practices on their farmland; and projects that train professionals and beginning farmers on topics related to farmland access.
The Project Manager will also help develop and implement new projects as opportunities arise to further AFT’s holistic mission. Future projects may address promoting adoption of climate resilient agricultural practices and acceleration of solar energy development in a way that supports farm viability and protects our most productive and resilient agricultural land, and:
