Contractor will provide industrial property support and property administration surveillance of contractor held property. In this capacity the contractor personnel must understand a broad range of tools and methodologies, such as FAR 52.245-1 Government Property, FAR 45 Government Property Administration, Procurement OSD and DFAR Government Property clauses and initiatives, Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) guidance, DoD 5000.64, and general property management principles associated with contractor held property.

The contractor must provide the following services: This work is performed in a sedentary office environment. Tasks include:

  • Experience with DFAR and FAR processes. 
  • Receive new GFP and place on loan in Dpas.
  • Receive assets in warehouse, sign for, and issue out to      customer.
  • Generate DD1149 for issue.
  • Meet/coordinate with customer at warehouse to issue      equipment.
  • Verifications by cage code/ Loan Updates in Dpas: For upcoming contract close-outs/For APO      reconciliation process.
  • Assist with updating work processes and procedures      i.e., flow charts, power point slides.
  • Generate 1348 for turn in.
  • Schedule turn in appointment for property in      possession, 1-2 days before contract end date.
  • Coordinate return of GFP to Ft Meade warehouse for      processing. Includes providing instructions and shipping information.
  • For end point devices using DPAS property record      information or item marking for manufacture year determine if item is out      of warranty period and requires disposal processing or candidate for      reutilization within agency.
  • Provide related processing paperwork to update DPAS      status back from contractor and process for location update to warehouse      for reutilization or process for DLA turn in SRO officer  
  • As applicable perform any sanitization of storage media      or hard drives, remove hard drive of property items to be turned in for      disposal to DLA-DS or other disposal sites, and prepare and sign document      verifying sanitization of media.
  • Responsible for efficiently preparing and completing      all necessary disposal tags and documents to ensure timely disposal and      avoid unnecessary delays.
  • Provide shipment IDs for assets received (per Asset      Visibility Report)
  • Generate a report in PIEE to capture shipment ID’s and      UII for assets in PIEE.
