Description

 Essential Job Functions:

     

1) Safely and efficiently operate the scanning equipment to scan finished goods inventory out of the system. This will also alert the company to bill the customer for the goods scanned. 

2) Work from "pulling" sheet that lists all products to be loaded per stop.  

3) Coordinate the load and loading crew to prioritize the workload order.   

4) Make sure that each piece is scanned as it comes down the line and enters the trailer.   

5) Attach labels to corresponding cartons when required by customer as pieces are scanned and enter trailers.   

6) Satisfy work requirements.  

7) Manually reconciles shortages or overages. Shortages are retrieved by the setup man from the warehouse. If setup man can't locate, scanner operator will report shortage to shipping office. They will try to locate or back   order. Overages are returned to stock in the warehouse by the setup person.  

8) Turns paperwork into the office at the end of each truck for processing.  

9) Keep area clean. Follow good housekeeping.   

10) Maintain certification in all company job and safety training required of this position.

Requirements

Ancillary Job Functions: 


 Have the versatility to perform other duties within the department as assigned by the supervisor and based on production needs. Essential physical demands may have to pull cartons weighing up to 80 - 100lbs. up the roller conveyor line to the scanning station as needed. Good manual dexterity is a plus so bar codes can be easily scanned. Bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and reaching movements may occur typical working Conditions most work is done at the scanning station at the back of a trailer being loaded with goods. Hot in the Summer. Cold in the Winter. Good ventilation. Standing or walking on concrete floor. Personal protective equipment eye and ear protection. Gloves essential education read, write, and count. 


How to stage and load trucks. Required experience prior loading experience. Testing required pre-employment drug screen. hearing conservation (BLO).       


Hour of work schedule varies depending on work volume - usually M - F 7:00 - 3:30 but subject to change.
