Alumni and Social Media Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Business Development

Salary Range: $23.20-$26.68 per hour

Job Summary:
The Alumni and Social Media Coordinator strengthens Foundry’s community and brand by
keeping alumni connected, creating meaningful engagement opportunities, and sharing the
work and culture of Foundry through social media. This role manages alumni outreach, events,
and digital engagement; supports appropriate referrals and re-engagement in treatment; and
creates consistent, authentic social media content that increases awareness of Foundry’s
programs, people, and impact.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two years of experience in customer service, community engagement, event planning, social media, marketing, or a related role required.
- Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or mental health required.
- Experience with social media platforms, content creation, and CRM systems required.

- Comfortable engaging with clients, alumni, families, and community partners.
- Strong organization, follow-through, and ability to independently manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to create engaging, professional social media content consistent with our brand.
- Ability to recognize opportunities for referrals or additional treatment support and connect individuals with the appropriate team.
- Sound judgment regarding confidentiality, professional boundaries, and appropriate use of client and alumni stories or images.
- Ability to collaborate with Admissions, Clinical, Business Development, and other departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn CRM, alumni engagement, and social media platforms.
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license with the ability to travel between Foundry locations and community events.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Alumni Engagement & Support:
- Build and maintain relationships with current clients and alumni and support their transition into the alumni community.
- Maintain consistent alumni outreach through calls, texts, email, meetings, events, and digital platforms.
- Facilitate alumni meetings and coordinate alumni events and activities.
- Identify alumni who may need additional treatment or support and connect them with Admissions or the appropriate team.
- Support alumni and community-generated referrals in partnership with Admissions and Business Development.
- Maintain accurate documentation of alumni engagement, referrals, and outcomes.
- Alumni App
- Become the internal point person for Foundry’s alumni app, including enrollment, engagement, content, and ongoing utilization.
- Keep app information and resources current and encourage consistent alumni participation.
- Monitor engagement and feedback and recommend improvements to strengthen the alumni experience.
- Social Media and Content
- Manage Foundry’s day-to-day social media activity, including creating, scheduling, and posting approved content.
- Develop content highlighting Foundry programs, staff, alumni, recovery, events, education, and community involvement.
- Identify and capture appropriate photos, videos, stories, and content opportunities while maintaining required permissions and confidentiality.
- Monitor engagement and recommend content ideas and strategies to increase Foundry’s reach and brand awareness.
- Community and Compliance
- Represent Foundry at alumni, community, and industry events as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of Foundry programs, services, and admission criteria.
- Follow all confidentiality, compliance, consent, and professional-boundary requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Standing, sitting, bending, reaching.
- Must be able to see, hear, talk, read, write, type.
- Exposure to clinical and medical environments.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Driving in all weather conditions.
